Seattle
Seattle is the easiest Alaska homeport for most of the U.S., with round trips from late April into early October from two terminals close to downtown. Ships stop in Victoria, British Columbia, on the way home because U.S. law requires a foreign port call.

Before you sail
Night before
Fly in the day before. Most Seattle cruisers do: the port reports that 82% fly in and more than half stay a night before or after. Downtown waterfront hotels work well for either terminal.
Parking
Both terminals have cruise parking: Republic Parking runs the Pier 66 garage, and Platinum Parking runs the Pier 91 lot with a shuttle to the ship. Rates change, so check before you go.
Terminal
Seattle has two cruise terminals. Smith Cove Cruise Terminal at Pier 91 serves Carnival, Celebrity, Holland America, Princess and Royal Caribbean; Bell Street Cruise Terminal at Pier 66, on the downtown waterfront, serves Norwegian and Oceania. Check which one is yours before booking a hotel.
From an advisor
Ask about Port Valet. It sends your bags from the ship straight to your flight at SEA, so on the last morning you can go directly to your gate. Seattle is the only port that offers it.

Questions people ask
Which cruise lines sail to Alaska from Seattle?
For 2027, Carnival, Celebrity, Holland America, MSC, Norwegian, Princess, Royal Caribbean and Virgin Voyages all sail Alaska round trips from Seattle. Oceania offers a few one-way voyages to Vancouver.
Why do Seattle Alaska cruises stop in Victoria?
The U.S. Passenger Vessel Services Act bars foreign-flagged ships from carrying passengers between two U.S. ports without a foreign stop, so round trips from Seattle call in British Columbia, usually Victoria, before returning.
How far is the cruise terminal from Seattle-Tacoma airport?
About 35 minutes by car to Pier 91 and about 25 minutes to Pier 66, traffic permitting.
