Collection
Caribbean and the Bahamas
Regions, lines, ships, departure ports, example routes and planning guides for warm-water cruising from Florida, Texas and Puerto Rico. Routes are example trip shapes, not dates for sale.

Regions
Caribbean
Use Eastern, Western and Southern Caribbean as geographic starting points, then compare the actual stops, sea days and departure journey. Choose the islands that interest you, then look at the stops and departure port of a specific itinerary.
Bahamas
The Bahamas is the shortest step from Florida into island cruising: three to five night trips to Nassau and line-run private islands, with longer Caribbean weeks often stopping there too.
Cruise lines
Royal Caribbean
Royal Caribbean builds the ships with the most going on: water slides, surf simulators, Broadway-style shows and its own private island in the Bahamas. It suits families and groups who want every age kept busy.
Celebrity Cruises
Celebrity is the modern premium choice: design-forward ships, better-than-mainstream dining and a calmer feel than the big family lines. It suits couples and friends who want polish without luxury prices.
Carnival Cruise Line
Carnival is the lively, good-value line, with plenty of short and seven-night sailings from drive-to ports in Texas, Louisiana and Florida. It suits families, groups and anyone who wants a fun, easy cruise without a big price tag.
Disney Cruise Line
Disney Cruise Line is built around families: rotational dining through three themed restaurants, excellent kids clubs and private-island days on most Bahamas and Caribbean sailings. It suits families who want both kids and adults looked after.
Virgin Voyages
Virgin Voyages is adults-only, with no buffet and no single main dining room: instead there are more than 20 eateries. Since 7 October 2025, a daily service gratuity applies. It suits adults who want a modern, social cruise.
Ships
Icon of the Seas
Royal Caribbean
Icon of the Seas is Royal Caribbean's family-focused ship with Surfside, a neighbourhood built for families, and the Category 6 waterpark. It suits groups who want a full day on board between ports.
Wonder of the Seas
Royal Caribbean
Wonder of the Seas is a large Royal Caribbean ship that the line currently markets for short Bahamas weekends from Miami, with a stop at Perfect Day at CocoCay on each weekend cruise.
Celebrity Ascent
Celebrity Cruises
Celebrity Ascent is the fourth ship in Celebrity's Edge Series, with a modern design, the Rooftop Garden, and a suite area called The Retreat. It suits adults who want a polished, relaxed week.
Celebrity Beyond
Celebrity Cruises
Celebrity Beyond is an Edge Series ship with the Rooftop Garden, Sunset Bar and suite-only Retreat. Celebrity currently promotes new poolside venues for its Caribbean sailings.
Carnival Celebration
Carnival Cruise Line
Carnival Celebration is a large, LNG-powered Carnival ship that sails from Miami, with six themed Zones, the BOLT roller coaster and Emeril's Bistro 1397.
Mardi Gras
Carnival Cruise Line
Mardi Gras is the Carnival ship that introduced Zones and BOLT, the first roller coaster at sea. Carnival describes Port Canaveral as its homeport, with a terminal built for the ship.
Disney Wish
Disney Cruise Line
Disney Wish sails three and four night Bahamas cruises from Port Canaveral in Disney's current itinerary flyer, with Disney Castaway Cay on each and Nassau or Disney Lookout Cay depending on the sailing.
Disney Treasure
Disney Cruise Line
Disney Treasure is Disney Cruise Line's adventure-themed ship, sailing seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises from Port Canaveral as described by The Walt Disney Company.
Scarlet Lady
Virgin Voyages
Scarlet Lady is Virgin Voyages' first adults-only ship. Its current Caribbean sailings run from Miami, with four and five night itineraries that include The Beach Club at Bimini.
Valiant Lady
Virgin Voyages
Valiant Lady is an adults-only Virgin Voyages ship. Its current Caribbean season sails six and seven night Southern Caribbean cruises from San Juan, and it spends other seasons in Europe.
Departure ports
Miami
Plan your PortMiami arrival around the terminal in your cruise documents. The county lists airport shuttles, taxis and designated rideshare zones; arrange the journey around your boarding appointment.
Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)
Port Everglades names Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International as its main airport. Plan the entire arrival process, not just the drive, and follow the terminal and boarding instructions for your sailing.
Port Canaveral
Port Canaveral's transport guidance lists private and shared airport transfers, some cruise-line transfers and rideshare. Confirm your provider and terminal before planning the hotel, flight and return journey.
San Juan
San Juan is Puerto Rico's cruise port, with piers beside Old San Juan. It is a starting point for Southern Caribbean weeks because the islands are close.
Galveston
Galveston is the Port of Galveston's cruise homeport on the Texas coast, with several cruise terminals and port-run parking. It suits travellers who can drive and want a Western Caribbean week.
