Example itinerary
4 nights to Nassau and Castaway Cay from Fort Lauderdale
A four-night Bahamas cruise from Fort Lauderdale with Nassau, Disney's private island and one day at sea, as listed for Disney Destiny.
The example
Disney's fall 2026 and spring 2027 itinerary flyer lists a four-night Bahamian cruise on Disney Destiny from Fort Lauderdale calling at Nassau and Disney Castaway Cay, with one day at sea. Some holiday dates swap Nassau for Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.
What the shape feels like
Two port days and a sea day give a good balance for children: one island day built around the beach, one day in Nassau that you can make as busy or as quiet as you like, and a full day to enjoy the ship.
Who it suits
Families trying a cruise for the first time, and grandparents travelling with young grandchildren who want something shorter than a week.
Who might choose something else
Couples without children, or anyone who wants several islands in one trip. A seven-night Caribbean sailing covers more ground.
Planning notes
Fly in the day before. Decide whether Nassau is a beach day, a town walk or a stay on board, and keep Castaway Cay simple.
Where the source does not say where the cruise ends, we leave the end port blank rather than assume a round trip. This is an example trip shape drawn from a published itinerary, not a list of dates or cabins for sale. Lines change ships, ports and order, so we check the current sailing for your dates.

Who it suits
Families wanting a short first cruise from South Florida
From an advisor
Ask us to check the current sailing for your dates; ships and ports change, and the example is a shape, not a booking.
Questions people ask
Is Nassau always included?
Not on every date. Disney marks some holiday sailings that call at Lookout Cay instead.
Why include a sea day?
It gives time to enjoy the ship without losing a port, which matters on a family cruise.
Is this a Disney Destiny only shape?
It is the example we sourced. Other ships and lines run similar short Bahamas trips from South Florida.
